Pranutan Bahl is a young and talented actress in the Indian cinema Pranutan was born in Mumbai, India on March 10, 1993. She belongs to a well-known film family. Her father is Mohnish Bahl, a popular actor who has worked in many Bollywood movies. Her mother, Ekta Sohini, is also an actress. Pranutan is the granddaughter of Nutan, one of India’s most respected actresses, and she is the niece of famous actresses Tanuja, Tanisha Mukerji, and Kajol. Pranutan grew up around movies and actors. Even though she was close to the film world, she did not start acting right away. She studied law and earned a degree from Government Law College in Mumbai. Later, she completed her Master of Laws (LLM) from Mumbai University. Before becoming an actress, Pranutan focused on her education.

Debute in Bollywood

Pranutan made her acting debut in 2019 with the movie Notebook. This film was produced by Salman Khan, a big Bollywood star. The movie was set in the beautiful region of Kashmir and it was a love story. She played the role of Firdaus, a schoolteacher. Critics liked her performance and said she acted naturally and with emotion. She was even nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In 2021, she appeared in Helmet, a comedy film that talked about the awkwardness of buying condoms in India. Pranutan played a character named Rupali.
