Janhvi Kapoor is an Indian actor who works in Hindi and Telgu movies. She was born in Mumbai, India on 1997 March 6th. She is the daughter of Boney Kapoor, a producer, and Siri Devi, an actor. Actor Anil Kapoor is her uncle. She has 3 siblings one real Khushi Kapoor and 2 half siblings Nashua Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. From Mumbai, she studied at Ecole Mondiale World School. Then she continued her studies at schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Later in California, at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, she took an acting course before her debut. Her Acting Debut
Janhvi Kapoor made her debut in 2018. She filmed a romance movie Dhadak, a Dharma production movie. That movie was a remake of Marathi film Sairat. The movie got negative comments but it made a collection of ₹1.1 billion worldwide. She received the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. Her next project was Zoya Akhtar’s segment horror anthology film Ghost Stories on Netflix. She then acted in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, a biopic. It was not released in theaters but on Netflix due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She spent time with the Air Force officer Saxena and learned her body language. She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Apart from movies, In 2020 Janhvi Kapoor appeared in a music video for the promotional song of movie Angrezi Medium.
In 2021, Jhanvi in the comedy horror film Roohi played a dual role opposite Rajkummar Rao it was released after the delayed second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
